Readiness Assessment
A structured review of whether your organisation is ready to adopt AI safely and effectively.
Overview
Before investing in tools, vendors or internal build, organisations need a clear baseline: what is feasible now, what is risky, and what foundational work is required. Without this baseline, teams either delay unnecessarily or proceed without understanding their exposure.
Orbital Intelligence provides a readiness assessment across people, process, data and technology to identify where AI will deliver value and where the constraints sit. In this context, readiness means having suitable data, controls, decision rights and capability to deploy defined AI use cases without unacceptable risk.
Assessment scope
We run a targeted and time-bound discovery process combining stakeholder interviews, workflow review and focused technical checks. The assessment concentrates on material constraints rather than exhaustive review. Assessment areas typically include:
Data and information management: Data quality, accessibility, governance, retention, and whether suitable data exists to support priority use cases.
Technology and security posture: Integration readiness, identity and access controls, logging, and security constraints relevant to AI tools and APIs.
Process suitability: Candidate workflows assessed on volume, repeatability, decision risk, data sensitivity and potential impact.
Governance and risk controls: Decision rights, policy coverage, privacy and compliance requirements, and oversight capability.
Workforce readiness: Change impacts, training needs and practical adoption barriers across the business.
Outputs
You receive a concise Findings and Recommendations Report that supports clear decisions on where to proceed, where to pause, and what must be addressed first. The report provides a prioritised view of:
Near-term opportunities: Use cases suitable to progress now, with a clear rationale and delivery considerations.
Constraints and risks: Issues that materially increase risk or reduce feasibility, with recommended mitigations.
Foundational actions: The practical steps required to lift readiness across data, governance, controls and capability.
The readiness assessment identifies governance gaps but does not replace the development of formal governance frameworks where required.
Indicative pricing
Advisory offerings are priced as indicative ranges because scope varies with organisational size, regulatory exposure, the number of business units involved, and how many use cases are required. All fees are ex-GST (AUD).
